Winter on the farm

I have mixed opinions about winter… I love the snow, but then when it’s wet and muddy I do get fed up of it. Walking the dogs in cold, dark mornings and evenings and washing them off every single time they go out. Plus it’s sooo cold, and the snow often means treacherous driving conditions.

However, I love it more than I hate it. We’re heading towards the end of February now and there’s another cold snap on the way, plus the other week it started to snow, but instead of groaning I thought oooo snow!

If it’s going to be cold I’d prefer for it to be really cold and frozen than slightly cool and wet and muddy.

Here’s some of my favourite snaps on the farm from this winter, a lot of which were taken during that really cold week where temperatures didn’t reach above 0 degrees C for several days.
