I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy two wonderful weeks in Anglesey in the space of a month. This time it was with Ash’s family. I thought I’d share a few of my favourite places and things we did with some photographs from my week away.
This gorgeous, hidden treasure is a stunning sandy bay. I’ve never ever felt confident enough to swim in the sea before without a buoyancy aid but the bay was so calm and shallow it was perfect.
South Stack Lighthouse
For the first time ever I saw puffins here! And razorbills. We climbed over 1,000 steps to and from the lighthouse and went right up to the top, inside of the light.
It was a windy, murky day but that didn’t stop our fun. We played football as we walked along and spotted a seal with two pups from the island!
Ash and I have recently become National Trust members and we were excited to visit Plas Newydd as our first stop. The house is gorgeous and has a story very close to home as the family who own it used to live at Beaudersert in Staffordshire, which is now a Scout Camp. There is a large wall painting in one room which has Mow Cop castle painted into it. My parents lived near to Mow Cop and I can see the castle from my town.
